HELLO NYGZ!!!!!!

yuhui: it's 365 days since concert lastyear!
shuhui: no its 366 days cos this year is a LEAP YEAR!!!!

haha i didnt even realize! time just passed by so fast; it feels almost surreal. 1 year ago, we were probably at our 3rd song of the concert? the nervousness of all of us at the backstage, the countless hours of practices, the tiring and not very smooth rehearsals that freaked us out alot but nonetheless we survived, and we staged our very own concert on 24/03/2007.

it was only made possible by efforts of every single member and our teachers. and that's what i love about performing arts cca. we don't do it alone, we do it together, all the time. now that i think back upon it, i feel so touched by the efforts put in by every single guzheng member, and the passion and enthusiasm that we have for guzheng. that makes me really proud to exclaim," I'M FROM NANYANG GUZHENG!'

i went through a great deal of stress for concert and syf last year. but i always believe in the fact that if something doesnt kill you, it only makes you stronger :) i have experienced it myself, and i can totally testify it. i was never really confident of myself. haha but you know during those speeches and interviews..i just had to convince myself i was. but it was truly the amazing experience i had - organizing a concert that proved to myself what i could actually achieve. and what others can achieve and how people can inspire.

i cannot stress more, but thankyou so much nanyang guzheng. for making my nanyang life such a memorable one. it has given me stress, but the joy and satisfaction i have derived from is just too great. i have grown, and learnt.

hah i shall share my experience with you juniors :) in my lower sec years, i never was the extremely enthusiastic person for nygz. i vividly remember sec4s'07 getting scolded by our ex-ex-ex President (now my history teacher HAHA!) about how laid back we are, and how we lack enthusiasm because nobody in our batch ran for VP during interviews. haha yes, juniors, believe it or not, the seniors that have been scolding you so much last year, trying to 'inspire' you, and leading you guys, were once juniors that did not even want to undertake a VP's responsibilities. okay, then we scolded to our senses and i eventually ran for it during the speech. i must have been so blessed. because despite my lack of enthusiasm then, i was still given the opportunity to serve guzheng. and i realized how much i have grown to LOVE IT. SO MUCH. hmm cant imagine how unfulfilling my sec2.3 and 4 life would be without nygz huh? okay so the main idea here is to tell you guys not to be like me. becuase sometimes due to various circumstances, you wouldnt be that lucky to get your opportunity if you dont work for it. haha okay at least i made up for it by working really hard during my term when i served. hahaha XP

yay nygz is love :) even now when i have graudated, i still miss nygz a great deal. every time i step in m301, it feels like a second home. because i think i spent alot of my after-school sessions in m3 when i didnt have anything on in my sec4 year. haha. hope you juniors, sec4s, sec3s. sec2s. and the new sec1s can grow to love nygz and share the same passion :)

JIAYOU FOR THIS YEAR'S CONCERT. It's definitely gonna be even better than 07's yeah?
