NYGZ, its been 24 (fine, 25 hours since i overslept) hours since 紫韵筝情(III).
Can you believe its been over just like that?
I can't, but i'm definitely still feeling the high and everything.
10th May 2008, a night of magic.

I still remember at the start of the year, we were going "WE'RE GONNA HAVE A CONCERT!"
And before we knew it, it was just weeks before the concert;
everyone flustered, laoshi panicked, and so did we.
As anticipated, the daily practices came in.

Seniors felt stressed; with the overload of SIAs, homework and everything,
juniors were pressured by seniors to turn up for practices and everything.
SLs and EXCO sacrificed their lunches to host meetings and practices.
Everyone had to take time out for this committment.

I still remember how Secret and ZTF practices went.
They were both good and bad; bittersweet i suppose.

Sometimes, attitudes just really made me so disappointed.
I just wanted to give it all up.
Sometimes the playing lacked emotions, dynamics and movement; something that's been reiterated so many times.
I just wanted to walk out and tell laoshi to scrape the songs.

Yet at others, i could see everyone's effort and even though the playing wasn't perfect,
I could smile and say, "At least everyone's putting in effort!"
Yet at others, i could feel bits and pieces of the emotions, the x-factor i guess,
and i'd indulge in those magical moments.

Rays of hopes and shades of darkness were written all over practices.

Sooner than expected, the big day came.

Backstage moments with the juniors were loves.
Touqing, singing, smiling, breathing, heartfelt words and everything.
We've come so far, and its our day to shine.
Everyone was high and so was i.

When the montage played, my eyes became teary.
It was my last concert with NYGZ; my first and last conducting.
After the concert was over, it'd be back to work and everything.
Nothing to look forward to after school anymore.

But this was the very motivation that pushed me harder;
i told myself that because this was my last concert,
i had to give it my all, go up there, conduct Secret and ZTF,
and enjoy myself while doing that, because i wouldn't want to leave with regrets.

Like i told the juniors, what we want from this concert isn't perfection, but just your best effort.
You know you've put in your best and given your all,
when you can step off that stage and tell yourself,
"I've done my best; regardless of the mistakes i've made, and i'm proud of that!"

On that podium, i felt as though i was one with the music.
That's the something that differs conducting from playing.

Its like, you feel the emotions of the players and its like you really feel like one with the music; like its pulse beating in your heart, and its like just flowing throughout your body.
Standing up there just felt like such magic, really. For a first and a last time, i really enjoyed it, and i want another chance to conduct again, seriously.

Faster than expected, the concert was over.
The final moments we would spend as NYGZ'08 was over.
Like Lydia said, if only time could have frozen during the concert.
But if it did, then we wouldn't have these beautiful memories of 紫韵筝情.

For all your never-ending support and encouragement towards me, telling me where the flaws in my conducting was, and everything! I really appreciate your criticism, because it has helped me to mature and grow, to understand and appreciate music better. ^^

What can i say? All our efforts paid off, really! I probably never told you this before, but sometimes i just felt so proud of you guys whenever i saw you people putting in the effort and all! Despite the disappointment, i still felt happy that i could conduct you all! Really, i mean it! If given another chance to conduct, i'd insist that i want to conduct you guys again! You people are really really great and all. Thanks to the SLs for sharing my burden and to everyone else for shining like the brightest stars yesterday! Secret and ZTF pwned the stage ytd yo!!! :D You guys did us all proud! :D
And of course, thanks for the 3 cheers you guys gave me in M3! :D It seriously made me want to cry okay! :x You guys are the best! :D LOVE YOU ALL! (L)

On a final note (its been 1 hour zomg), i just want to say,

NYGZ, WE DID IT, WE CREATED A MIRACLE, WE MADE IT HAPPEN.
